Privacy Choices

This page summarises the privacy controls that exist in the NoTension iOS app today. The complete policy is the NoTension App Privacy Policy.

  • The app asks for your explicit consent before any face photograph or voice sample is captured, and explains how that data is used for generation.
  • If you decline, no face or voice data is captured and none is transmitted.
  • You can withdraw this consent at any time by deleting your avatar or your account, described below.

Delete a memory

Open any memory and choose delete. This removes its database record, the generated video, its thumbnail and any associated surroundings image from NoTension’s storage.

Replace or delete your avatar

From the avatar screen you can replace your photographs, re-record your voice samples, or delete the avatar entirely — removing its stored face photographs, voice recordings and preview stills. You can create a new avatar afterwards.

Delete your account

In the app: Avatar/Profile → Delete my account → Confirm. Account deletion removes your account access, your database records and your stored files, and revokes the app’s Sign in with Apple authorization. It cannot be undone.

  • AtlasCloud processing copies expire under its stated retention period of up to seven days; Supabase database backups may retain deleted records for up to seven days.
  • Deleting your NoTension account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel any active subscription in your Apple account Settings → Subscriptions.

Share app activity (optional)

  • In app versions that offer Share App Activity, you can choose to share limited in-app activity events with NoTension. It is off by default — nothing is collected unless you explicitly turn it on, choosing “Not Now” changes nothing about how the app works, and no past activity is ever collected retroactively.
  • The control is at NoTension → @me → Your avatar → Share app activity (On / Off / Currently unavailable). Turning it off stops future collection immediately.
  • Events never include your face, voice, photos, videos or generated media, prompts or titles, your name or email, free-typed text, location, device or advertising identifiers, notification text, or payment details. Purchase events carry only the Apple product identifier and a bounded outcome — never receipts or transaction identifiers; the optional emotional pulse is stored only as a predefined feeling choice and a 1–5 answer.
  • Raw account-linked events are deleted automatically no later than 90 days after collection, and earlier when you delete your account. You can also request deletion at hello@notension.ai.
  • This choice is separate from face-and-voice consent — enabling or disabling one never affects the other, and declining never restricts any feature, allowance or price.

Advertising and tracking

  • The iOS app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting SDK.
  • The app does not use the IDFA and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
  • NoTension does not sell personal information.
  • Separately from the app, the public website at www.notension.ai uses Google Analytics 4 for website visits only — that is not collection by, or inside, the iOS app.
